Jacqueline Milner
Jacqueline has had the privilege of offering psychological services across Nova Scotia for over 31 years since obtaining her Master of Science Degree in Community-Clinical Psychology from Acadia University in 1993. She currently provides counselling to adults and couples experiencing a wide range of problems and concerns.
Her empathic and authentic treatment approach is based on sound psychological principles and draws from several evidence-based treatments such as CBT, Emotion Focused, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Given the therapeutic benefits of contemplative principles and practice on emotional and well-being, she has also undergone extensive personal and professional training in the areas of mindfulness, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, mindful eating, and mindful self-compassion resulting in being amongst the very few in the Atlantic provinces to obtain certification in these areas. Combined, Jacqueline offers her clients an integrative, whole person approach which is collaborative in reaching therapeutic goals. Her passion for cultivating mindfulness and commitment to contributing to the well-being of others (and the world) led her to open Breathe Mindfulness Centre, which offers mindfulness and compassion-based workshops and programs to other professionals, workplaces and the public.
