Jeannette is a graduate from Acadia University, specializing in clinical psychology, and has been in private practice since 2003. In addition to private practice, Jeannette has significant experience in the public sector with Correctional Services Canada and Department of National Defence.

Jeannette provides a down-to-earth, non-judgmental approach when working with her clients. The client therapist relationship is an opportunity for accelerated recovery. Treatment goals are developed in collaboration with the client, and Jeannette seeks to direct clients toward their inner wisdom for optimal mental health.

Individual therapy, couple’s therapy, and assessment services are offered. Assessment and treatment are guided by empirically based methods specific to trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addictions, interpersonal difficulties, and personality disorders. Jeannette’s approach is client-centred primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR Therapy techniques. Couple’s therapy is guided by Dr John Gottman’s, Gottman Method, and Dr Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapy
