Dr. Dayna Lee-Baggley (R0598) is the Director and psychologist at Dr. Lee-Baggley and Associates, a virtual health psychology clinic (https://drleebaggley.com). We provide group based interventions on a variety of health related topics (e.g., weight management, sleep, chronic pain) as well as COVID-related topics (e.g., COVID burnout, COVID related anxiety). We also specialize in training (e.g., behavioural change skills) and interventions for healthcare providers including COVID-related topics (e.g., COVID trauma for frontline providers).
Dr. Lee-Baggley provides evidence-based therapy, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational enhancement, and mindfulness. She also provides supervision in Emotion Focused Therapy for couples and ACT. She is a peer-reviewed trainer in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a designation currently held by only six others in Canada (https://contextualscience.org/act).
Dr. Dayna Lee-Baggley is the Director of the Behaviour Change Research Institute, which conducts research and training in chronic disease management. She is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Saint Mary’s University. She was the recipient of the 2017 Women of Excellence Award – Health, Sport and Wellness (Canadian Progress Club Halifax Cornwallis). She is the author of the book “Healthy Habits Suck: How to get off the couch & live a healthy life…even if you don’t want to.”
