Dr. Hayley Ellwood (NS #C10840) provides evidence-based, short and long-term treatment for adults and teens (16+) facing the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Specific Phobias, Health/Illness Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Substance Use/Addiction, Major Depressive Disorder, and issues with anger management. Dr. Ellwood also works with couples using The Gottman Method, which emphasizes skill development and mutual responsibility to enhance communication and reduce conflict.

Dr. Ellwood has a special interest in working with clients with PTSD, however values her role in facilitating change alongside clients with varied presentations and experiences. Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are used as her primary interventions (using Prolonged Exposure (PE) specifically for treating PTSD), and therefore Dr. Ellwood will serve as a source of support, focus, therapeutic challenge, and psychoeducation. Completing doctoral training in Metro Vancouver and the southern U.S.A. has provided Dr. Ellwood the experience and confidence to work effectively with individuals of minority identities and diverse worldviews. She is pleased to consider herself a LGBTQ+ friendly practitioner.
