Kay is a psychologist (Candidate Register) who works with adults struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, relationships, burnout, religious conflict, and trauma.
Kay holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University. She has experience working in non-profit, crisis intervention, private practice, and psychiatric hospital settings.
She is committed to creating a safe space for clients of different gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, and people with different types of romantic and/or sexual relationships. With each client, she takes a collaborative, feminist, and empathetic approach, ensuring she is providing evidence-based treatment.
Kay caters her approach to the client’s needs and finds it tremendously rewarding to help clients become aware of their emotional experience and teach new coping strategies. Kay works with both clients who hold a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder and caregivers (e.g., romantic partners, family members) to provide the best support using a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy approach.
