Daniel Chorney
Dr Chorney is a Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults (up to age 55) using an evidence-based approach to both assessment and treatment. Evidence-based practice focuses on using a combination of the best available research and clinical expertise while also keeping in mind each person’s unique context, history, and values.
Dr Chorney has a particular interest in helping individuals across the lifespan overcome anxiety, depression, and insomnia. He has extensive training and clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in young children, adolescents, and adults. Dr Chorney frequently provides public educational sessions and training workshops on child/adolescent anxiety, including school-refusal behaviors (helping families and schools support children who have stopped attending school for a number of reasons). Other areas of practice include: childhood behavioral problems (age 10 and under), body-focused repetitive behaviors (trichotillomania), selective mutism, and sleep difficulties in children/adults (falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking early).
Dr Daniel Chorney & Associates is made up of a number of registered psychologists, each focusing on evidence-based practice for a wide range of concerns.
