Dr. Clair Barefoot
Dr. Clair Barefoot is a clinical and health psychologist who blends clinical expertise with an insider’s understanding of complex health systems. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina in 2017 and has built her career within the public health system, including roles at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation and Arthritis Centre and the Multi-Organ Transplant team. Dr. Barefoot specializes in working with physicians, residents, and patients with chronic health conditions or serious injuries. She provides a safe space to explore what it means to build a meaningful life, whether you are navigating the, often intense, demands of the healthcare system or grappling with a health condition.
Dr. Barefoot also provides evidence-based ADHD assessments for adults. Life can often feel overwhelming and frustrating for people with ADHD and she loves to work with individuals to better understand why life feels so hard. She provides practical strategies to help people do the things that matter in life.
She recently joined Dr. Lee-Baggley and Associates in private practice and enjoys providing virtual therapy to people living in Nova Scotia, with a limited number of appointments for people in New Brunswick and PEI. She offers evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage stress, prevent burnout, and build lasting resilience.
Offers morning appointments between 6am and noon.
