Ms. F. Jeannette Kennedy
Jeannette holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University and has extensive experience in both private and public-sector settings, including Correctional Service Canada and the Department of National Defence.
Jeannette works primarily with adults experiencing trauma and complex trauma, posttraumatic stress, depression, anxiety, dissociation, grief, relationship difficulties, and challenges associated with significant life transitions. She has particular experience supporting military members, Veterans, RCMP members, first responders, and others whose work has exposed them to trauma and chronic stress.
Jeannette offers a warm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental approach. She views the therapeutic relationship as central to healing and works collaboratively with clients to understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns influencing their lives. Her approach honours the wisdom and protective intentions within each person while supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Treatment is individualized and informed by evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness- and acceptance-based practices. Jeannette is a Certified EMDR Therapist, a certified iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher, and has completed extensive training in Internal Family Systems Therapy. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, compassion, curiosity, and respect for each client’s readiness and goals.
Jeannette provides individual and couples therapy and facilitates experiential therapy groups designed to strengthen emotional well-being, relationships, self-understanding, and the capacity to respond to life with greater intention.
