Originally from England, Tracy Iveson brings a broad perspective shaped by her experiences of living and working across the UK and Ireland. She began her career as a psychologist in Northern Ireland, where she worked in community and clinical settings, supporting adults experiencing a wide range of personal and psychological difficulties. Tracy moved to Nova Scotia in October 2015 and has been practising privately as a Counselling Psychologist in Canada since January 2016.

Tracy is an integrative Counselling Psychologist with 22 years of clinical experience, working with adults (aged 19-65) experiencing a wide range of concerns including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, stress and burnout, grief and loss, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, coping and adjustment, life transitions, communication and assertiveness, work-related stress, and personal growth.

Her approach is welcoming, collaborative and flexible. She draws from a range of evidence-informed approaches and tailors therapy to each individual's circumstances, goals and readiness. Depending on the individual's needs, therapy may focus on understanding current challenges, developing coping strategies, strengthening self-awareness and relationships, or processing experiences that continue to affect them. Tracy believes therapy is not one-size-fits-all; the goal is to find an approach that fits each individual.

Tracy has specialized in EMDR since 2010 and is EMDRIA-certified, with additional training in Attachment-Focused EMDR, the FLASH Technique and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She also draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as person-centred, attachment-based, interpersonal, emotion-focused and solution-focused approaches.

Tracy offers direct billing for eligible clients through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the RCMP and Medavie Blue Cross.

Tracy offers both in person and secure video sessions.

Her practice focuses on psychological counselling and psychotherapy. She does not provide psychological or diagnostic assessments or typically complete extensive reports or documentation.
