Dr. Robert McInerney
I am a neuropsychologist in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I own and operate a clinic that specializes in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment. I am also a Clinical Associate at Dalhousie University. Over the past 28 years, I have worked in several major hospitals and community settings in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia.
As a neuropsychologist, I conduct comprehensive assessments with anyone affected by fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) or fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, school struggles). I have extensive experience with medical and neurological conditions including stroke, tumour, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, epilepsy, genetic disorders, and many other conditions.
I routinely conduct neuropsychological assessments for the Nova Scotia Deportment of Community Services (DCS), Mi'kmaw Family and Children's Services of Nova Scotia (MFCS), and Jordan's Principle. I provide independent neuropsychological evaluations (IME assessments) for the Worker's Compensation Board (WCB), Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), insurance companies, legal professionals, universities, and employers. I have been an expert witness at several levels of court in Nova Scotia.
