Dr. Robyn McClure
Originally from the Annapolis Valley, Dr. McClure (she/her) graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science. She continued at the University of British Columbia, completing two master’s degrees, a Ph.D., and achieving distinction as a Killam Laureate.
Dr. McClure’s therapy specialties include clients with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD) and general mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression). Dr. McClure is also experienced in supporting youth transitioning to adulthood in postsecondary environments. Therapy is offered to youth clients ages 13+ and adult clients.
Dr. McClure can assess a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, intellectual developmental disorders, mental health issues), with rigour and thoroughness being a hallmark of her approach. She is experienced in completing neuro-affirming assessments with adults wondering if they meet criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. She can also help assess problems that do not fit neatly into diagnostic categories. Assessments are available for children and youth clients ages 6+ and adult clients.
Dr. McClure is a licensed psychologist registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. She works with clients from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and welcomes clients of all genders, sexuality identities, and cultural backgrounds for both assessment and therapy.
