Ms Abigail Howard-Gosse

Abby is a Psychologist (Candidate Register) who completed her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology degree at Acadia University. She provides both psychotherapy and assessment services and has a broad background working with various mental health challenges. She has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Abby primarily uses cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in her practice. For assessments, she offers services for clients experiencing challenges in areas of learning, attention, and mental health. She focuses on building a strong connection with each of her clients to formulate how best to meet their individual needs. She also believes it is important to consider an individual’s specific context and surroundings, and so often collaborates with parents, teachers, and other professionals to help facilitate change in her clients.
