Spectrum Therapeutic Solutions is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our team as an independent contractor, providing comprehensive ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
This opportunity would be ideal for a psychologist who enjoys assessment work and is looking for a flexible private-practice role without having to manage all of the administrative and business responsibilities independently.
About the Role
The psychologist will provide diagnostic ADHD assessments, including:
- Clinical and developmental interviews
- Parent and collateral interviews
- Teacher and school-based information gathering for child and adolescent assessments
- Administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized ADHD measures
- Review of relevant educational, medical, and psychological records
- Differential diagnostic assessment
- Diagnostic formulation
- Comprehensive report writing
- Feedback sessions with clients and families
- Recommendations for treatment, accommodations, and additional assessment where appropriate
Spectrum Therapeutic Solutions provides:

- This position may begin on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow based on clinician availability and referral volume.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Be registered, or eligible for registration, as a psychologist in Nova Scotia
- Have training and demonstrated competence in psychological assessment and diagnosis
- Have experience assessing ADHD in adults and/or children and adolescents
- Be comfortable with differential diagnosis and identifying common co-occurring conditions
- Have strong clinical interviewing, report-writing, and communication skills
- Maintain independent professional liability insurance and all requirements associated with independent practice
Experience with assessment tools such as Conners 4, CAARS-2, CADDRA assessment resources, and other evidence-based ADHD assessment measures is considered an asset. Experience with psycho-educational assessment is also welcome but is not required for this position.
Contract Arrangement
This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling. Compensation will be competitive and discussed based on experience, assessment structure, and availability. Psychologists who already have an established assessment protocol and/or access to their own assessment materials are especially encouraged to apply.

We are continuing to expand our ADHD services and are looking for a psychologist who would like to help us develop a high-quality ADHD assessment program for both children
and adults.
