Dr Melanie Vanier specializes in assessment and treatment services for children (ages 1 to 17) and their families. Dr Vanier holds a PhD in child clinical psychology from the University of Guelph. She has considerable experience working with a variety of populations, including children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, learning difficulties, ADHD, behaviour challenges, anxiety, and selective mutism.
Dr Vanier has expertise in conducting autism diagnostic assessments for young children (up to age seven), developmental assessments for toddlers and preschool age children, as well as psycho-educational assessments for school age children and youth.
Dr Vanier’s primary treatment approaches include behavioural and cognitive-behavioural therapy.
