Leah joins her clients in an exploration of their inner world to develop awareness of patterns, needs, and influences of past experiences on present concerns. She works collaboratively to assist clients in making meaningful change and strives to practice with cultural humility, an intersectional lens, and in a
2SLGBTQIA+ affirmative way. Leah works with adults (19+) experiencing emotional challenges (e.g. anxiety, depression), life transitions, stress/burnout, relationship/interpersonal problems, workplace issues, PTSD, and developmental trauma, among other difficulties. Leah also offers psychological assessments/PTSD assessments for Veterans through VAC. She takes an evidence-based, integrative, and experiential approach to therapy that primarily draws on attachment science, emotion focused therapies (EFT/EFIT), trauma-informed stabilization treatment (TIST), mindfulness, and self-compassion. Leah integrates other approaches such as acceptance and commitment (ACT), dialectal-behavioural (DBT), and cognitive-behavioural (CBT) based on individual needs.
