Ainsley completed a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at McGill University. She works individually with adults and with couples experiencing communication difficulties, infidelity, sexual concerns, developmental trauma, low self-esteem, stress and burnout, life transitions, anxiety (social anxiety and generalized anxiety), depression/low mood, interpersonal conflict, etc. Ainsley completed the Intensive Sex Therapy Program through the University of Guelph and is undergoing supervision in this area. She is currently accepting a limited number of clients experiencing sexual concerns such as low libido, desire discrepancies, orgasm difficulties, painful intercourse, and erectile dysfunction.

Ainsley believes in providing sex-positive, poly- and kink-friendly, and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. She strives to create a warm, open and non-judgmental environment for self-exploration. She guides clients in gaining a deeper understanding of their emotions, including how they are informed by their history, in order to empower them to build healthier relationships and behaviours that are in line with their values.

Ainsley’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and grounded in her training in emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) for couples and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also encourages clients to incorporate complimentary interventions that address body, mind and spirituality.
