A psychologist with over 26 years of experience, I provide client-centered support to children, teens, young adults (< 25 years old) and the people surrounding them.

Through diagnostic assessment, I uncover learning, behavioral, attentional, developmental and social-emotional issues affecting client wellness and optimal functioning (e.g., learning disabilities, intellectual disability, behavior disorders, ADHD, autism (pre-screening only).  Through counselling, I support my clients challenged by a variety of mental health concerns such as overwhelming stress, grief, episodes of low mood, worry/anxiety, relational struggles, trauma and coping with a particular diagnosis. I offer consultation – a fluid service responsive to client need – for advocacy, building awareness, clarifying financial supports after diagnosis or educational/vocational accommodations.

Viewing my clients as explorers seeking awareness, wellness and optimal functioning allows me to uncover factors causing low motivation and mood, social skills or awkwardness, low self-esteem, poor executive function or worry/anxiety, etc. I seek to educate clients about their challenges, how to accept/navigate as well as self-advocate.  Providing personalized, effective interventions that quickly improve functioning is paramount to me. I invite collaboration with all professionals from school, medical or mental health services.

My therapeutic orientation is mindfulness-based and incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral theory. Integrating tools such as acceptance and commitment techniques and short-term intensive interventions. I am able to reach even my youngest clients and teens with my validating, warm demeanour.  Reach out today to share your story.
