Dr. Annie Richard is a Psychologist (Candidate Register, #C10860), specialized in neuropsychological assessments of adults with various neurological (e.g., traumatic brain injury, dementia), neurodevelopmental (e.g., autism spectrum disorder), or psychiatric conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety). Her practice includes assessments and recommendations for rehabilitation purposes as well as independent medical evaluations for insurance companies, workers’ compensation boards, and employers.
She holds a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Originally from New Brunswick, she returned to the Maritimes following her post-graduate studies. She is still active in research, holding a research position at the Autism Research Centre at the IWK Health Centre. Her primary areas of research include (a) the developmental course or neurodevelopmental conditions and (b) co-occurring conditions in individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as the common occurrence of epilepsy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
