Dr. Christiane Whitehouse (she/her) has a special interest in the mental health side of living with physical health conditions and has worked with adults living with chronic pain, other chronic health conditions such as COPD, neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis and dementia, brain injury, and individuals post-surgery (e.g., bariatric surgery, kidney transplant, etc). Her therapy training has focused on understanding how these physical health conditions interact with our mental health and addressing the mental health concerns that show up (e.g., depression, anxiety, grief, loss of a sense of self or purpose). Dr. Whitehouse conducts therapy using two evidence-based approaches: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT).

Dr. Whitehouse’s experience in neuropsychological assessment centers on evaluating cognition in adults to determine the cognitive implications of an injury or physical/mental health condition. She has assessed adults with a variety of neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, and health conditions, as well as head injuries. She has specific expertise in working with seniors regarding a diagnosis of dementia.

Dr. Whitehouse is a White, cis-gender female. She aims to provide a safe environment for all of her clients.
