Dr Simon B. Sherry is a tenured Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Dr Sherry is a specialist in assessing and treating depression, anxiety, perfectionism, personality disorders, addictions, and eating disorders. He also assesses and treats a wide variety of other mental health difficulties.

Dr Sherry directs Dalhousie University’s Personality Research Team. His research program investigates the role of personality in relationship problems, depression, anxiety, addictions, and eating disorders. Dr Sherry has published 125 scientific articles and earned more than $2.5 million in grant funds. He has received various awards for his scientific research and clinical practice, including the Killam Prize. Dr Sherry is also a strong advocate for the science and practice of psychology. Dr Sherry sees adults for assessment and individual therapy at CRUX Psychology. He also conducts couples therapy. Dr Sherry provides treatment for a wide range of difficulties, including difficulties that do not fit neatly into diagnostic categories (e.g., relationship problems). His clinical services are grounded in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioural, behavioural, motivational, and interpersonal approaches.
