Kristen is a Registered Psychologist who completed her Master’s in clinical psychology at Acadia University and her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Dalhousie University and the IWK Health Centre. She provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults presenting with a range of issues including: anxiety (social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic), low mood/depression, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain, difficulties coping with chronic illness, stress, low self-esteem, and trauma. She has a warm, genuine and empathetic approach that helps clients to feel safe and supported. Clients can expect to work collaboratively with Kristen to identify their goals and strengths and work towards change that is consistent with their personal values.
Kristen has training in evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Kristen additionally works part-time at Dalhousie’s Centre for Psychological Health where she provides supervision and training for learners enrolled in a clinical psychology training program.
