The Advocacy Committee is a Standing Committee which reports to the Executive. Its mandates are:
- To promote the profession of psychology to the public through educational activities.
- To advocate on behalf of the profession of psychology to policy makers on issues relevant to the profession of psychology, e.g., public access to psychological services.
- To advise and make recommendation to the APNS executive on issues relevance to the advance and promotion of psychology that merit involvement of the Association in responding to an issue
