Dr French has been in practice for over 30 years. He completed his doctorate at the University of Alberta and has maintained regular continuing education to support an evidence based practice with a focus in work with adolescents, children and young adults.

His scope of practice includes helping persons in transition, particularly those entering careers and those in secondary and post secondary education. In particular, he works with persons with learning disabilities, selected aspects of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, as well as those whose challenges have led to difficulties coping with the educational and/or legal systems.

His approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral and he believes in helping individuals improve their self advocacy, self monitoring and self regulating skills and strategies. Typically, he works with persons in the age range of 6 – 35 who are involved in aspects of career planning/ transition, education or post secondary education, and/or policing, the military or industry.
