Nicole Tibbetts, M.Sc., is a registered psychologist dedicated to client-centered and trauma-informed care, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Her therapeutic work is primarily focused on working with clients experiencing PTSD, trauma, domestic violence (DV)/interpersonal violence (IPV), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). However, with experience in providing individual and group therapy, as well as conducting assessments for youth and adults, Nicole can also address a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, interpersonal relationships, and phobias. She employs evidence-based treatments, drawing from a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Nicole’s empathetic and collaborative approach helps clients build self-awareness and develop effective coping strategies. Her clinical experience is complemented by her teaching at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and Acadia University. At our practice, Nicole conducts individual therapy and clinical assessments (i.e., psychoeducational assessments, mental health assessments). Nicole also works with the Chrysalis House Association providing therapeutic support to women who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing violence and abuse.
