Anita specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related and dissociative disorders, including PTSD, CPTSD, and complex trauma. She conducts operational stress and injury evaluations for law enforcement and veterans and is experienced with completing disability assessments for Veterans Affairs Canada, the RCMP, and insurance providers. Anita treats
adults affected with a range of traumatic experiences (e.g., childhood abuse, interpersonal violence, sexual trauma, accidents, etc.) as well as those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem issues and more.
Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative. She is trained in EMDR therapy and integrates other evidence-based approaches, such as ACT, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy. She also draws upon attachment theory and the theory of structural dissociation of the personality (TSDP) to guide treatment when appropriate.
As an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant, Anita offers case consultation for therapists seeking EMDR certification and provides specialized consultation on treating complex trauma and dissociative disorders.
