Breanna is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (Candidate Register). After receiving her Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Psychology at Acadia University, Breanna completed the Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) program in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. Throughout her doctoral program, Breanna is grateful to have gained a variety of clinical experiences in private practice, community, and hospital settings.

This diversity in population and work setting has allowed her to gain confidence in providing services to children, youth, parents, and individual adults. Breanna’s practice includes, but is not limited to, working with those who may be experiencing: anxiety, depression, behavioural dysregulation, struggles with co-parenting, adjustment to medical diagnoses, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and life stressors. Breanna uses an integrative and supportive approach in her work, primarily using an attachment-based perspective to conceptualize an individual’s concerns. She uses therapeutic techniques that are appropriate to each client she sees, integrating modalities such as Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. Breanna will also be providing couples therapy using Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), in the near future. Breanna is continually learning from her clients, and believes in using a client-centered, culturally sensitive approach to form strong connections and relationships. By acknowledging the system an individual exists in and bearing witness to their difficulties, Breanna aims to lend insight and guidance to sustained personal growth.
