Karen Mercer

Karen received a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Acadia University in 2003, and practiced in both the public and private sectors. Karen treats children and adolescents, together with their parent(s) and/or guardian(s), using a predominately Cognitive Behavior approach.  Her primary areas of practice include:

Working with children and teens, using an evidence-based approach, to treat:

• Depression
• Anxiety
• Behavior problems
• Low Self-Esteem

Working with young children and teenagers who struggle with:

• Anger Management
• Sleep problems
• Toilet training challenges
• Assertiveness
• Social skills

Karen also has significant experience working with young children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
