Lindsay has a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She initially worked in Alberta as a Psychologist in health care and post secondary settings. When she relocated to Nova Scotia she began working in private practice and focusing her work in the areas of trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, grief, death and dying. She offers individual counselling services to adults.
Lindsay approaches therapy from a relational, somatic and transpersonal lens that utilizes Expressive Arts Therapy to explore the clients resourcefulness and challenges that bring them to therapy. The use of creative interventions provides a contemplative practice and engages our natural ability towards wholeness and emotional well-being. It is not focused on creating artistic works, although the products created can often hold personal significance, facilitate self awareness and become important reminders of our process.
Lindsay is passionate about supporting others to connect with their creative self to guide the therapy process. Lindsay works collaboratively with clients to understand their unique circumstances and hopes for therapy.
