Sophia Fajnerova

Sophia received a Master of Arts in School / Applied Child Psychology from McGill University in 2015, and she has over 7 years of experience working in school settings. She has also received a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2022.

Sophia works part-time as a psychologist in private practice, providing both assessment and counselling services. She offers comprehensive assessment services for children and adolescents, including assessments to determine Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Learning Disabilities. She also offers counselling services for adolescents and adults. Sophia’s treatment philosophy is client centered. She tailors interventions to each client’s unique needs and draws on the following approaches in her practice, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, as well as play-based therapeutic approaches.

Sophia has experience working with the following referral concerns: anxiety, depression, behaviour problems, attention problems, learning disabilities, self-esteem, stress management, parenting issues, and relationship issues.
